Title: How to Get Around San Diego
1How to Get Around San Diego
?
When traveling it is often hard to know the
transportation options that the city you are
visiting offers. Whether you are traveling alone,
with your family, or with a group, San Diego
offers a variety of options that are sure to
please you.
2Rental CAR
- Renting a car is another option. You have the
added bonus of being able go where you want when
you want, without having to wait. If you are good
with a map or not afraid to ask directions, this
is a viable option. Plan ahead and reserve a car
before you arrive and the rental company will
have the car waiting for you. All of the major
car rental companies have a store front at the
San Diego airport. If you are already at your
hotel, you can call one of the companies and many
will bring the car to you. It is easy to navigate
San Diego's freeways and if you are planning on
taking a day trip out of the city, a rental car
is probably your best option.
3Motor COACH
- Motor coaches are guided tours of the city and
they are available for anyone and any group size.
While you will be on someone else's schedule,
motor coaches are a good way to explore the city.
You have an expert tour guide right there with
you. The tour guide will most likely be able to
answer any questions you might have about the
city. There are many different tours that you can
choose from, so there should be no problem
finding one that will peak your interest.
4Trains TROLLEYS
- Trains and trolleys are another option for your
travel purposes. You can choose from the red
trolley, if you are staying downtown, or the old
trolley, if you are going to the older portions
of San Diego. Trolleys are a wonderful and fun
way to explore the city. - If you don't want to drive, but still want to
take a day trip, you should consider taking a
train. The coastal train, that is ran by Amtrak,
will wind its way up the beautiful of coast of
California, while making stops at Anaheim, Los
Angeles, Santa Barbara, and San Luis Obispo. You
will have the benefit of being able to relax and
join the scenery while traveling between the
popular tourist locations.
5Ferries
- If you want to take a trip on the water, try
riding the Coronado Ferry. This ferry will take
you across San Diego Bay in just fifteen minutes.
And along the way you get to enjoy the beautiful
view of San Diego's shoreline. If you don't want
to ride the ferry, San Diego also offers water
taxis. Like regular taxis they will get where you
need to go. You still get to see the shoreline,
but you can go at your own pace.
