ABOUT TEXILA AMERICAN UNIVERSITY
Texila American University (TAU) is located in
the beautiful rain forest country Guyana
(British Guyana), the only country which has the
privilege of being a part of South American
Nations and also Caribbean Nations, popularly
referred as The West Indies. TAU offers
programs in Medicine Nursing in its Campus in
Guyana. TAU is designed with a high level

TAU ON-CAMPUS PROGRAM TAU is a rapidly

Medicine -5.5 years(BS- MD) Texila American
University renders a highly focused Doctor of
Medicine program for the students who have
completed their 12 years of schooling . Developed

In the US track Premedical and Preclinical in
Guyana Clinical can be pursued in the USA
hospitals
Students can either opt for the Normal track or
the US track In Normal track the Premedical,
Preclinical and Clinical are completely pursued
in Guyana only
Eligibility to Enroll for Pre medical 12 years of
schooling high school certification
Doctor of Medicine 4 years Texila American

Eligibility Bachelor's Degree / Associate Degree
/ Diploma in any relevant Science area (like
Allied Health Science, Life Science, etc).
Students can either opt for Normal track or the
US track In Normal track - Preclinical Clinical
are completely pursued in Guyana only
In the US track - Preclinical is in Guyana and
Clinical can be pursued in the US
Hospitals Internship Internship is after the
completion of the medical program. Internship can
be done in Home country too after completion of
Local licensing exams if any. Students wishing to
do in Guyana can do so after fulfilling
requirements of Local Medical Council. Concordia
New York American MD Become a Doctor in 6
years Students can spend 2 years in the capital
of the world New York, USA. Concordia College
New York historic campus. Texila American
University has signed a MOU with heritage old
Concordia College, New York during September
2013. According to this agreement Concordia and
TAU will come together to offer a Highly Focused
Pre medical program in Concordia Campus. Year 1
2 the student will study for the Associate
degree in Science at Concordia College New
York. The 3rd and the 4th year student will
study for the pre clinical part of Doctor of
Medicine Program at Texila American University,
Guyana. 5th and the 6th year The student will do
their clinical rotations in different locations
in USA (Chicago, Washington DC, Atlanta and many
other states.

• Students who have completed A levels with Science
  subject
• Students who have completed High School with
  Science Background.

• Texila is committed to provide their students a
  quality learning environment and help develop
  critical thinking and handle challenging
  situations creatively. The campus has got
  spacious classrooms, equipped with various
  resources including marker boards and multimedia
  projectors for instruction.

  USA(80 weeks)
• For those who cannot afford to complete clinical
  training in USA they can either go in for
  elective or take up Extemship Pre residency
  training which is offered with over top
  attending physicians in various cities of USA.
