• ATAR is Australian Tertiary Admission Rank given
  to students of HSC or year 12 in Australian
  states post result. The UACE results are soon
  followed by ATAR results or Atar Score that will
  be used by Universities as criteria to benchmark
  students aptitude for admissions into various
  degree programs.
• ATAR is a rank which indicates students overall
  position when compared against other students.
  HSC marks indicate students performance in each
  of the course of subject studied by them in HSC
  or year 12.

• UAC also declares the ATAR results and posts ATAR
  Advice Notice to all the students of ACT HSC and
  NSW HSC. UAC also makes offer to students for
  admissions on behalf of the participating
  universities. It is simultaneously also
  processing applications for admissions to the
  postgraduate courses.

• ATAR scores are declared in the month of December
  every year on UACs website. The exact dates are
  declared prior to the result dates to notify
  students on the websites and also through UAC
  guide. The ATAR results are used by check
  atarcalculatorscore.net the tertiary institutions
  as selection criteria.

• The written ATAR Advice Notice is the documentary
  proof of the students ATAR results. It is sent
  by mail to the NSW HSC students and ATC HSC
  students are notified of their ATAR advice notice
  by the respective schools.
• Any student should satisfactorily complete
  minimum 10 unites of ATAR courses with 8 units of
  category A course, two units of English and four
  subjects.

• The UAC conducts the first main round of
  admission process as well many other rounds
  starting from January to July every public
  holidays in Australia. Students apply online for
  their preferred courses and Universities and get
  admissions according to their ATAR results.
