Before I even broach the topic, I think an
explanation of negative calories is merited it
is any food that requires more energy to be
digested than it provides.
Now let us label this mystical chow as X. What
is X?? Lets give an example to demystify X. X is
a food that contains 100 calories of energy but
takes 200 calories to digest. This basically
means you can eat as much X as you want and still
lose weight. Sounds too good to be true? Well it
kind of is.

My search through countless volumes of
information and internet portals reveals that
such a food is as real as Hogwarts. The reason
this concept is flawed is that most foods require
almost no energy to digest. Lets take celery for
example a stalk of celery provides 6 kcal of
energy and needs only 0.5 kcal of energy to be
digested. An excess of 1000!

In fact all the foods claimed to be negative
calorie suffer the same fate

All requiring much less calories to digest than
the energy they provide. But these foods may
actually cause weight loss by giving less energy
per volume of the food compared to other foods
like pastry, cake or even rice. But isnt that

Cake Anyway, I decided to pool my entire medical
prowess and give you a true negative calorie
food. But before you decide on starting any type
of diet, I would suggest you to speak to your
dietician or talk to a doctor online and find out
whether these particular foods are suitable for
your health or not.

1. Ispaghula This is husk that can just bloat
your stomach and make you feel full and give you
zero calories. It is literally not absorbable by
the gut.
2. Cold water This is good too. Cold water
will need to be warmed and will cause you to lose
weight. Also water has no calories so that is an
added benefit.
