About Us

• UMUBANO as a Rwandan word means
  Cooperation Cooperation is the process of
  groups of organisms working or acting together
  for their common/mutual benefit, as opposed to
  working in competition for selfish benefit.
• Umubano - Tours and Intercultural Expedition also
  known as the two brothers business is a
  successful and reputable tour company operated by
  two bothers GAKURU Peter and GATO Herbert,
  involving in some other local members who shares
  20 of the business and employing a team of
  professional tour guides and local Guides in
  Rwanda, DR Congo, Burundi and Uganda.

Rwanda Tours

• After an earlier morning breakfast at
  around 530AM, our English / French speaking
  guide will meet you at your hotel or elsewhere in
  Kigali short briefing and drive to the Eastern
  part of this country to the Akagera National
  Park. Arriving in the Akagera National Park (125
  km/2.5 hrs) we proceed on a morning game viewing
  drive in this African savannah park.

2 DAYS Rwanda Gorilla Tour

• Day 1 Arrive at Kigali International
  Airport Transfer to the Volcano NP
• Meet and greet our tour guide/ driver who
  will shortly brief you about your tour in Rwanda
  and immediate transfer to the volcanoes National
  Park in the northwest part of this country.If
  time allows you can short visit Kigali and after
  all, visit the genocide memorial site, a grim
  reminder of a senseless massacre of innocents
  lives in 1994.

Uganda Tours

• 11 Days Uganda Adventure Safari
• This Uganda tour has been designed to cater
  for the interests of those that wish to do
  birding, general wildlife and gorilla trekking as
  their highlight. Visit Ugandas major national
  parks including the Murchison Falls, Queen
  Elizabeth and Bwindi Impenetrable Forest national
  parks. All these activities can ably be carried
  out throughout the year with minimum difficulty
  during rainy seasons.

Lake Mburo National Park, Whispers of the wild

• You will be met by our representative at
  the Airport transfer to your hotel for an
  overnight. The following morning, set off for the
  safari heading to south western Uganda with a
  stop at the drum maker then at Equator of Uganda
  for snaps and breakfast. After breakfast, drive
  through twisted, winding roads and lake dotted
  countryside, before getting into the lower thorn
  and Savannah scrub lands of Lake Mburo National
  Park, the long drive between the main road and
  park entrance is an excellent opportunity to see
  the flora and fauna, including monkeys, impala
  and a huge variety of birds.

Congo Tours

• Arrive in Gisenyi, Rwanda and transfer to
  Goma, DRC and drive to the Nyiragongo Volcano
  trail head in Virunga National Park.  The climb
  up Nyiragongo takes around five hours, is
  strenuous and often in hot and uncomfortable
  conditions, but the path is relatively easy and
  not excessively steep there are also a lot of
  rare birds and small mammals along the trail and
  the view, when you reach the top, is stunning and
  other.

Burundi Tours

• Burundi is geographically at the heart of
  Africa but, sadly, has also been at the heart of
  African horrors in recent years. Here is a
  country of wonderful landscapes, from
  mountaintops to forests, huge lakes to tropical
  plateau. Burundiâs situation is improving. The
  democratically elected government in 2005 is
  engaged in peace talks and has announced
  applauded measures, such as that of introducing
  free education and tourism promotion.
