Title: How to Win Money by Playing Online Games
1How to Win Money by Playing Online Games (MMORPG)
2Overview
- Games can brig a lot of money for players and
there are plenty of players who have quit their
jobs as they become economically satisfied only
the money earned from games. - If you could make a living by playing video
games, would you do it? Its definitely possible
hundreds and thousands of people do it every
year but your options are pretty limited and it
may not be as fun as you think itll be. - For starters if you want to try to win on a game,
there are some games in which you can work with
real money. These are strategy games, games that
put your mind to it make you try to find a good
strategy with which to make money. - This presentation is about direct income. Here
are some titles that have elements of real money
transaction built right into the games core
design, allowing you to walk away from a gaming
session with a few more dollars in your pocket.

41. Second Life
- Second Life is a uniquely social MMORPG that
debuted over a decade ago. Does anyone even talk
about it anymore? Hasnt it fallen off the radar?
To my surprise, not only is Second Life going
strong, but it has a strong player-centric
economy from which you can make real money. - It all revolves around the in-game
currency, Linden Dollars (L). Players can earn
L by engaging in various activities in the game.
Some activities are quite passive, such as
sitting on camping chairs, while others require
skill, such as creating virtual content and
trading virtual real estate.

62. Entropia Universe
- Theres another MMORPG in the same vein as Second
Life thats built on a real cash
economy Entropia Universe, formerly known
as Project Entropia. Entropia Universe is
a massively multiplayer online virtual
universe designed by the Swedish software
company. - This game isnt a pure social world as there are
actual gameplay elements (e.g., hunting,
missions, crafting, etc.) so it does feel more
like a traditional MMORPG than Second Life. - The currency is called Project Entropia Dollars
(PED) and exists at a fixed exchange rate of 10
PED per 1 USD. Whats unique about Entropia
Universe is that PED can be directly withdrawn
into a bank account no middleman necessary.

83. EVE Online
- Eve Online is a player-driven, persistent-world ma
ssively multiplayer online role-playing
game (MMORPG) set in a science fiction space
setting. - EVE Online differs from the other games on this
list because you cant actually withdraw cash.
However, if you play the game well and know how
to maximize your gameplay efficiency, you can end
up playing the game for free (it normally costs a
15 USD monthly subscription)

104. Rift
- When RIFT went free-to-play, it also introduced
REX tokens. These are somewhere between the other
options in that the tokens are bought and sold,
but rather than give the player who uses them
subscription time, they give the player two forms
of currency, including loyalty points. - And you can convert all of it into loyalty points
if you so desire. So you can turn one kind of
currency into another kind of currency that you
then turn into a third kind of currency, and then
you scratch your head and shrug.

125. Star Trek Online
- Star Trek Online, often abbreviated as STO, is
a massively multiplayer online role-playing
game (MMORPG) developed by Cryptic Studios based
on the popular Star Trek series. - he most prominent one in the game at the moment,
however, is Dilithium, which is used to purchase
ships, high-end equipment, reputation rewards,
all that fun stuff. It is also used for
purchasing Zen, the games microtransaction
currency, which well, thats also used for
purchasing ships, at this point. There are a lot
of ships in Star Trek Online.
