100 handmade carpets rugs. Handmade Worlds
carpet collection is deep rooted not only from
the intimate knowledge of its founder Adarsh
Mishra, but also because of his ancestrys family
background. Late Shri. Gulab Dhar Mishra a senior
member in his family had great role in forming of
CEPC (Carpet export promotional council of India)
in year 1982 as a founder chairman and Mr. Shree
Dhar Mishra was chairman in the year 1999. Each
of the carpets are handpicked and selected by our
expertise team from master weavers and designers
from different parts of India Our carpets are
Work of Art which are rewarding investment in
beauty for one lucky collector or decorator. Each
is a piece of living magic, created and woven by
weavers with love and dedication! Every carpet in

Modern Hand Knotted Rugs
Though origin of hand knotted carpets dates back
to more than 2000 years, in India, the art was
introduced in 15th century. Hand knotted rugs are
often called oriental rugs owing to the region of
origin. Since the craft established and
flourished more in Kashmir, in India, they are
often referred as Kashmiri carpets or Persian
carpets. It is perceived that carpet knotting
developed as a nomadic craft and spread with
nomads.
