Major General Michael Harrison Getting to Work
Former Major General Michael Harrison retired
from the United States Army in October of 2014.
He does not consider this period of his life
retirement he prefers to say that he is in a
Transition phase as he is prepares for service in
another capacity. That being said, he holds a
number of qualifications that should allow him to
make a measurable contribution to society,
preferably in service to others. What he does
next is anybodys guess, but it is sure to be
something significant. As a man who has held the
rank of Major General, he clearly has a resume of
solid and unique credentials that will serve him
well in whatever capacity he chooses to serve.
While he has served in many roles, he enjoys
mentoring, coaching, and training more than
anything else.
Over the years, he had the privilege of leading
men and women at home and abroad, to include duty
in Afghanistan. This is just part of the picture
because there is so much that could be written
about a thirty four year career. He credits all
of his successes to the hard work, sacrifice, and
support of his Soldiers, family, friends, and
superiors.

Former Major General Michael Harrison served in
the United States Army for more than thirty
years. After such an illustrious career at such
a high level, people would naturally have to
wonder what happens next. Well, Harrison spends
a lot of time reading. It is one of his favorite
hobbies and he loves to do it every chance he
can. He is a major fan of history and believes
that understanding and taking stock of history is
the best method of not repeating mistakes and
tragedies of the past. Now reading is something
of a hobby, but also a channel through which he
can relax while he educates himself in a
meaningful way.
Former Major General Harrison believes there are
many benefits to picking up a good book. If it is
non-fictional, it can bring a new perspective to
a time or event in history that can challenge
your perceptions of that event.

Retired Major General Michael Harrison is a
thirty four year veteran of the United States
Army. In late 2014, his life changed forever as
he began his transition into life as a civilian
after such a long career.
He has a strong values system and core of
principled beliefs. He has made this process
simple by relying on himself and his family. He
has always been quite active, so you can be sure
that he will maintain himself in top physical
condition for one thing. He also spends a lot of
time with family and old friends. He is revered
in family circles because of his military service
and because he has always maintained a positive
communication with his circle of family and
friends as well.

Retired Former Major General Michael Harrison is
a man of exemplary character and fascinating
experiences. He has been a leader in the service
of this country that occurred over a thirty four
year career which he retired from in October of
2014.
Part of his background has been helping others in
all kinds of situations. He looks to these
experiences as a duty of his that he has taken as
a leader. He has helped many people lead
exemplary lives by sharing his principles of
leadershipthat served him so well in his career
in the military. One of the ways he has done
this is through his work in education. Many
times over the years he has been called upon to
speak at high school graduation ceremonies during
his service with the United States Army.
