PCOS USUALLY DOES NOT COME ALONE
  • These complications make this disease as a
lifelong problem with serious dent in quality of
    life.
  • Hence, it is crucial to catch this illness early
so as to not only take care of menses problems or
infertility problems but also to delay or prevent
    serious complications later in life.

WHAT CAUSES PCOS
PCOS
10
WHAT CAUSES PCOS
  • GENETICS Women with PCOS are more likely to have
a mother or sister with PCOS.
  • HORMONAL PROBLEMS In PCOS women , the ovaries
make more androgens than normal. High levels of
androgens affect the development and release of
    eggs during ovulation.
  • INSULIN is supposedly linked to PCOS. Many women
with PCOS have too much insulin in their bodies
as they are not able to use it (Insulin
    Resistance).
  • Excess insulin leads to excessproduction of
androgen by Ovary. High male hormone levels can
    lead to
  • Excessive hair growth
  • Weight gain
  • Acne
  • Inability to ovulate
