The Experience of Dr. Jerome Abrams
A family physician for all of his career, Dr.
Jerome Abrams has over thirty years of experience
under his belt. Board certified in 1980, Dr.
Abrams gained his certification in Family
Practice. Dr. Jerome Abrams is proficient in a
variety of office procedures that he offers for
his patients of a variety of ages. The procedural
care that he provides in office includes skin
excisions, suturing, joint injections,
aspirations, incisions, and drainages. Before
joining a different practice, Family Medicine of
Smyrna-Clayton, Dr. Jerome Abrams first worked
with Dover Family Physicians for thirty years.
The physician began working there early in his
career after working for a few years in emergency
services.
At both locations, before and currently, Dr.
Jerome Abrams is a part of a team that offers the
entire spectrum of services to their clients.
During this time, Dr. Jerome Abrams, was also an
active staff member of Bayhealth Medical Center
in Dover, Delaware.

One thing is for certain when it comes to the

Dr. Abrams is a different type of doctor, one who
does not merely want to have their patient come
in, he see their illness, prescribes some
medication, and then they walk out. Instead, Dr.
Jerome Abrams wants to get to know his patients.
He wants to learn where they are in their family,
community, relationships, and in their timeline.

experience in a variety of medical settings, Dr.
Jerome Abrams has shown himself to live up to the
reputation he has received. The board certified
physician recently joined a different medical
practice. After spending thirty years at Dover
Family Physicians, Dr. Jerome Abrams is now a
proud member of Family Medicine of
Smyrna-Clayton. The hard work that he put into
thirty years of service at Dover Family
Physicians is the same effort he puts into his
patients in his new positions Dr. Jerome Abrams
is being recognized for that hard work.

The Dover Childrens Theatre and Dr. Jerome
Abrams
Dr. Jerome Abrams has more than thirty years of
family medicine experience. He was a co-founder
of Dover Family Physicians that was established
in 1983. Dr. Jerome Abrams has believed in being
an active contributor of the community. For more
than ten years Dr. Abrams was involved with the
Dover Childrens Theatre. At this Childrens
Theatre, he served at the lighting director for
more than thirty different productions. Dr.
Jerome Abrams has also served as the assistant
director of four productions and the director on
the production of The Adventures of Huckleberry
Finn.
