Title: Does Evil Exist?
1Does evil exist?
2One day, a university student questioned his
professor.
3He assumed the professor would not be able to
answer.
4Did God create everything that exists? he asked.
5Another student blurted out Yes, He did."
6Everything? the professor asked.
Yes, everything the student answered.
7In that case, God also created evil. Correct?
Because evil exists the professor said.
8Yes, said the student. Really? asked the
professor.
The other students remained silent.
9The professor allowed a moment for contemplation,
then asked
10Does cold exist?
Of course,
came the answer.
11Actually, cold does not exist. Cold is the total
and complete absence of heat.
12An object may only be studied if it has and
transmits energy. It is heat that transmits
energy .
13Without heat, objects are inert, incapable to
react. We created the term cold to explain lack
of heat.
14And what about darkness? Does it exist?
Yes, replied the students.
15Again, you are incorrect. Darkness is actually
the total absence of light.
16You can study light and brightness, but not
darkness.
A prism shows the variety of different colors in
which the light can be decomposed according to
the longitude of the waves.
17We created the term darkness to explain
the total absence of light.
18And evil does evil exist? asked the
professor, pausing amid the silence for a
response.
19God did not create evil. Evil is the absence of
God in peoples hearts. It is the absence of
love, humanity and faith. Love and faith are like
heat and light. They exist. Their absence lead to
evil.
20The students remained silent.
21And God saw that the light was good and God
separated the light from the darkness. Genesis
14
And the light shineth in darkness and the
darkness comprehended it not. John 15
