What is Marketing
  • Marketing is communicating the value of a
    product, service or brand to customers, for the
    purpose of promoting or selling that product,
    service, or brand.
  • Marketing techniques include choosing target
    markets through market analysis and market
    segmentation, as well as understanding consumer
    behavior and advertising a product's value to the
    customer.

What is Marketing Plan
  • A marketing plan may be part of an overall
    business plan. Solid marketing strategy is the
    foundation of a well-written marketing plan.
    While a marketing plan contains a list of
    actions, a marketing plan without a sound
    strategic foundation is of little use. A
    marketing plan is a comprehensive blueprint which
    outlines an organization's overall marketing
    efforts.
  • A marketing plan is a business document written
    for the purpose of describing the current market
    position of a business and its marketing strategy
    for the period covered by the marketing plan.
    Marketing plans usually cover a period of 1-5
    years.

Brand strategy is the action plan for putting the
brand to work. The communications system that
provides structure and guidance for all points of
contact within a business, both internally and
externally with the customer. It directly
supports the business strategy and influences the
total operation of a business to ensure
consistent brand behaviors and brand experiences
in all points of contact and channels of
communication.

Sales Promotion
Sales promotion is one level or type of marketing
aimed either at the consumer or at the
distribution channel (in the form of
sales-incentives). It is used to introduce new
product, clear out inventories, attract traffic,
and to lift sales temporarily. Sales promotions

staff, or distribution channel members (such as

A form of advertising (usually not involving ads)
in which branded products and services are
noticeable within a drama production with large
audiences. Product placements are presented in
way that will generate positive feelings towards

enables the audience to develop a stronger
connection with the brand and provides
justification for their purchase decision.
