Frank Cockerill - A Respected Microbiologist
Frank Cockerill holds several fellowships in
professional organizations including the
American College of Physicians, American College
of Chest Physicians, Infectious Diseases Society
of America, and American Academy of Microbiology.
He serves or has recently served on several
boards including the board of the American
Clinical Laboratory Association Board of
Scientific Counselors, Centers for Disease
Control and Association for Molecular Pathology.
A couple of years ago, as CEO of and in behalf of
Mayo Medical Laboratories (MML) he accepted the
Frost and Sullivan Award in Boston.

Frank Cockerill is a well-renowned scientist and
leader in the medical field. In his free time, he
chooses to engage in a number of hobbies
including playing piano, running marathons,
gardening, farming, , and reading about world
history. In the past he served as a medical
missionary to Haiti assisting the Sisters of
Charity at the Hospital for the Dying in
Port-au-Prince, Haiti.

history, traveling, medical missionary work,
farming, gardening, running in marathons, and
playing the piano. He is a respected member of
the American Society for Microbiology,
Association for Molecular Pathology, Sigma Xi,
Alpha Omega Alpha, and Infectious Diseases
Society of America. He is also interested in
animal rescue.

startup or a Chief Medical Officer in an
established biotech company. He has succeeded in
similar positions before, including as the leader
of a for profit clinical laboratory, the chair of
an academic department, and the leader of
innovation in diagnostic testing. A gifted
leader, he is especially skilled in the areas of
strategic planning and execution.
