1Patrick Rhatigan Holds Great Years Of Experience
Patrick Rhatigan is a highly experienced leader
and expert Commander who has worked at various
prestigious positions in his career span. In his
previous job as the Commander at 379th
Expeditionary Operations Group, he commanded a
diverse expeditionary operations group providing
airspace control, aero-medical evacuation,
in-flight air refueling, combat aerial delivery,
operational support airlift, intelligence,
surveillance and reconnaissance, and close air
support throughout US Central Commands area of
responsibility. He also coordinated airfield
operations with international host partner.
Commanded six different airframes B-1B, KC-135R,
RC-135, E-8, C-130H and C-21.
2Patrick Rhatigan is Proudly Serving as the
Commander
- At present, Patrick Rhatigan is proudly serving
as the Commander, 19th Airlift Wing, Little Rock
Air Force Base, Arkansas. He is leading a
multi-billion dollar organization with almost
10,000 persons and executes a 190M annual
budget. Here, he is responsible for carrying all
the aspects of organizational performance and
success, including leadership development,
motivation, promotions and assignments.
3Masters Degree in National Security Strataegy
from National War College
- He has acquired his Masters Degree in National
Security Strategy from National War College from
2009 to 2010. The mission of the National War
College is to educate future leaders of the Armed
Forces, State Department, and other civilian
agencies for high-level policy, command, and
staff responsibilities by conducting a
senior-level course of study in national security
strategy. The National War College provides a
single-phase Joint Professional Military
Education program for mid-career U.S. military
officers, civilian U.S. government officials, and
foreign military officers.
4Patrick Rhatigan Ambitions
- Patrick Rhatigan believes that once he became a
Wing Commander, his scope of learning and
teaching has been widened. He likes learning
about the Airmens work and their daily lives. He
learns about all the different career fields that
make his organization go, from public affairs to
the medical community to civil engineers to
contractors. Although uncertainty comes with the
job, Rhatigan said the people he comes in contact
with inspire him to do a good job.
