Title: Cannington Acupuncture

1
Cannington Acupuncture Methods Of Healing
  • Acupuncture is derived from two Latin words
acus which means needle and punctura meaning
to penetrate. Acupuncture is one of the most
popular alternative medicines used worldwide. The
therapy aims to normalise or regulate the flow of
energy or chi throughout the body.
  • The needles used in Acupuncture are just slightly
thicker than the human hair. Equilibrium is
    achieved through inserting needles into
    acupuncture points. Cannington acupuncture
alleviates the diseases symptom by removing the
    fundamental cause.
  • An acupuncturist can only determine the cause of
an illness through a thorough assessment. The
first step is to diagnose the problem by
    observation and probing questions. Traditional
Chinese Medicine also follows four diagnostic
    methods.
  • 1. Inspection
  • Inspection uses visual observation and focuses
more on the face particularly the tongue of a
patient. Tongue diagnosis is an essential
procedure in traditional diagnosis. The process
includes assessment of a persons tongue size,
texture, shape, colour, tension and coating.
  • Alternative medicine also believes that different
areas of the tongue correspond to a certain
internal organ. A tongue is normal when its
soft, has a proper size, pale red in colour, has
a thin layer of white coating and free in
    mention.
  • 2. Auscultation and Olfaction
  • Auscultation refers to actively listening to
    particular health signs patients voice,
respiration and cough. Olfaction attends to the
sense of smell particularly the body odour of a
patient. Foul breath is believed to be caused by
    pathogenic heat from the stomach.
  • 3. Questioning
  • Questioning diagnosis is also known as history
taking. It follows a system of ten inquiries
which originated from a song. An acupuncturist
will ask about chills and fever, perspiration,
appetite, thirst and taste, defecation and
urination, pain, sleep, sex and reproductive
    system.
  • 4. Palpation
  • Palpation diagnosis involves the sense of touch
for feeling tenderness and chi points.
Acupuncture in Perth uses the pulse to determine
balance of blood, yin and yang, condition of
internal organs and the state of the body as a
    whole.
