already become a business for many. Education
motivated by profit making' or pure business'
lacks essence. Find out the course curriculum
beforehand. Get hold of the syllabus and compare
them with the most reputed universities and
colleges. For example, if you are planning to
undertake a course such as Journalism and Mass
Communication, compare the syllabus of the online
curriculum to that of any reputed organization
such as Harvard, JNU or so on. It should be of
similar standard and matching.

Go through the evaluation and examination process
carefully. Remember, the objective of education
is to make you learn, not just a gorgeous
certificate. The process of evaluation must be
authentic and comparable to that of traditional
universities and colleges. The more the

the provider. If they claim to have one, reach
out for accurate information about it. Good
distance education institutes have collaborations
and partnerships with many institutes,
universities and prominent industries. Beware of
institutes that make a mountain from a molehill.
They claim to have good collaborations, but it
might be just an insignificant participation in a
meeting or workshop. A traditional way to find
about any education program is to be in touch
