  knife in your left hand. The blades should be
  facing upwards during the method. Put your right
  finger and thumb on the spine of blade to open
  the knife.
• Similarly, close the knife ensuring the blade is
  facing upwards. Patience is the key while closing
  the blade. Make sure that you dont end up poking
  the tip of the knife in your palm or snapping it
  on your fingers.

• Always hold the knife handle in your left hand
  (blade facing upwards again) and release the lock
  with your right hand, in case of Liner Lock
  Knives. Dont hold the blade as it may injure
  your fingers while closing rapidly.
