The future of Citrix Web Interface

It is pretty clear from a Custom Interface
standpoint that Citrix Web Interface is on the
way out, and Citrix StoreFront Web Interface or
Citrix Receiver for Web or Citrix CloudGateway
StoreFront Receiver for Web is on the way in.
Hopefully when it kicks in full force, it will
have a set name. As of right now I am not really
sure what to call the product. But every client I
speak to calls it StoreFront. Judging from the
companies that I speak with, everybody is really
waiting for the next major release of Citrix
StoreFront which I believe will be StoreFront
2.0, replacing StoreFront 1.2.

At Techstur.com, we have been getting a lot of
questions about StoreFront and what is possible
as far as Interface Customization Services. What
I tell everyone is that we can do everything we
did with our Citrix Web Interface Customizations.
I feel like I grew up on Citrix Web Interface.
Back when I first got into the technology field,
Citrix Web Interface was the first interface I
ever knew and used. So Citrix Web Interface and I
kind of grew up together. But now that it has
fully matured, I guess it is time to set it free!

So we are not turning away from Citrix Web
Interface, as we know our clients will be using
the product for a long time to come. Large
companies and organizations arent quick to jump
on the bandwagon and embrace dramatic change just
to replace or update the user experience. We plan
to transition our customers interface
customizations from Citrix Web Interface to
Citrix NetScaler and to Citrix StoreFront, or
Citrix CloudGateway, or Citrix Receiver for Web.
Whatever you want to call it is fine. We are
ready to take the product to the next level and
unleash the power of interface customization
services on all the new Citrix products.
