Evan Miles Certified Life Guard
Evan Miles has always demonstrated a keen
interest and concern not just for the people
around him, but for the community and society as
a whole. This interest in the well-being of
people, coupled with Evan's innate athletic
ability, led Evan to becoming a lifeguard. Many
of the lifeguard's duties cab be very physically
demanding and rigorous. Evan however, never shies
away from a challenge, and even found the promise
of physical rigors exciting, as well as a
possible opportunity to save someone in need.

Evan Miles Community Service Award
Evan Miles is, and always has been a giver, not a
taker. During Evan's rather short life, he has
learned the importance of giving back to a
community, and nourishing and nurturing those who
have been less fortunate than himself. It is this
fervent determination to provide better care for
the unfortunate that has earned Evan the
Community Service Award, an award given out to
those who demonstrate excellent leadership
skills, determination, and a heart of gold.

Evan Miles knows the importance of being actively
involved in his community, he also has a passion
for fishing. It didn't take long before Evan
realized that he could marry the two interests of
his, and he would become the founder of the
Centenary College Bass Fishing Club of New
Jersey.

When Evan Miles was asked what it takes to be a
champion, Evan replied with only one word, work.
Evan has never been afraid to work hard in order
to get what he wants. Evan believes that with a
strong work ethic, anyone can do anything, so
long as they never give up.
