3The shot distance of the this photo Is a long
shot and the angle is low because we see the
pebbles on the floor. The pebbles on the floor
have a soft texture along with the clouds further
in the distance of the photo. There is a
reflection of the sun on the water, the sun is
the primary source of light in the photo. The sun
as al light source tells us that it is either sun
set or sun rise. Most likely sunrise because of
the colours of the sky they are light and fresh
suggesting its a new day. The whole of this
photo is made up of positive space, there is also
a repetition of shape in the pebbles that are at
the bottom of the photo. Also, there is a rhythm
to the shape of the boat and the lines on the
boat where the panels meet. The pebbles consist
of geometric shapes, but these could also be
organic shapes because each pebble will be
unique. The focus of the photo is the small boat
stuck on the pebbles. It creates a feeling of
loneliness yet peace because the water looks
still in the back ground. The feeling on
loneliness comes from the boat being the only one
in the photo and it not being in the water. There
is a contrast in the natural shapes of the
pebbles to the man made shape of the boat.
Another contrast in the photo is the dark
greyness of the pebbles to the light sky above
and the orange light coming from the sun. the
depth of field in this photo is deep because
there is no blur in the background and you can
see right out to the horizon.
4- RULE OF THIRDS two thirds being taken up by
land. Most of the focus is on the sky. Left
third is taken up by sun, creates a balance.
Golden section has the main focal point which is
the boat. The photo is L shaped.
