What are organizations?

• Organizations are created by members of your
  community who have a charitable mission. One of
  the most important features of Volgio services is
  the ability to join organizations and sign up for
  events that are created. After joining an
  organization, you will be able to view all listed
  events in calendar format, apply to events, and
  receive automatic email notifications when your
  organization creates new events.

How do I join an event?

• Use the search feature to find events in your
  area (by city). Select an event and join the
  organization responsible for producing the event
  and then join the event. After joining the
  organization, you will receive automatic email
  updates of new events posted by the
  organization.

• If you received a link by email, the URL will
  take you to the homepage for the organization and
  signups. After signing up, you can join the
  events listed by this organization.

What is the difference between a public and
private event?

• Private events can be joined only by following a
  link that was distributed privately outside of
  Volgio.com. Site Members will not see these
  events when they search their location. Public
  events are open to any site members to join or
  apply to.

Creating an organizations

• An organization must be created before being able
  to create events. This allows members to follow
  all of your events. The service is free and
  allows up to 2000 members to follow and join your
  events. We do review new organizations to be
  certain that they are up to our standards and
  demonstrate a solid commitment to the community.

• We prefer that you add a link to your website or
  provide contact information in the description so
  that volunteers and our staff can gain a better
  understanding of your organization's mission.
  Once you create an organization, a link will be
  generated that you can copy and email to
  prospective members. The link will guide them
  through the process of joining your organization
  and the events you create.

I created an organization and I need help
managing it?

• Excellent, we are glad to see that you have
  successfully completed the first step of your
  journey with us. Volgio offers advanced features
  such as promoting administrators for your
  organization. Administrator have all the
  privileges that you have (creating events,
  accepting/denying new members, emailing URLs)
  except deleting the organization or promoting
  other administrators. If your administrator is no
  longer able to carry out his duties you can
  demote and promote new members.

• Absolutely 100 free. We do not believe in
  charging our non-profit organizations for this
  simple service. Our services can have a
  tremendous impact on our communities and your
  organization and we see no reason to stifle your
  organization's growth and success with
  unnecessary charges and billing.
