Title: The Story of The Washer Wench

1
The Story ofThe Washer Wench
2
Who is she?
For one, she is a Renaissance woman who doesnt
mind getting her hands dirty or wet! The
Washer Wenchs job is not as easy as it looks.
She must be strong and have endurance to last the
day as she scrubs, hauls, and hangs heavy, wet
clothes.
3
Her Methods
Depending on where she lives, she may wash soiled
clothes down at a nearby river, in large indoor
baths dedicated to laundering, outside with a
caldron of boiling water, or she may very well
hop into a shallow barrel and stomp on the
clothes with her feet whatever gets the job
done.
4
a strong woman
  • Because her role requires seemingly endless
energy, the Washer Wench is known for her
  • Resilience due to hours of tough, physical
    labor
  • Humor from countless afternoons at the river
    with her fellow Washer Wenches
  • Helpfulness shes always willing to help carry
    a heavy load

5
What does the washer Wench wear?
Often in the sun, the Washer Wench wears
breathable cotton and linen. Because shes not
a woman of wealth, her clothes are designed to be
durable and unfussy. However, that doesnt mean
shes against a pop of color with a bright sash
tied at the waist.
6
The Complete Garb
Warrior Shirt Made from a breathable cotton/linen
blend for all day comfort.
Arming Cap A cotton/linen blend with string ties.
Classic Gored Skirt Sewn from heavy cotton and
adjustable at the waist.
Red Sash A bright red accent piece made of cotton.
7
In Conclusion
The Washer Wench is just a small, but meaningful,
part of our rich heritage of vibrant women each
with her own unique look and life story.
