• Dual Diagnosis simply means the diagnosis of two
  or more conditions occurring at the same time.
  Often, a secondary condition is a direct result
  of the first condition such as addiction
  accompanied, or perhaps caused by depression, or
  alcoholism accompanied or caused by a mental
  disorder.
