• The show The Pick Up Artist is a reality TV show
  where men are taught how t pick up women. The
  show is very controversial, particularly among
  women. Many women feel it is offensive and shows
  men simple tricks so they can trick women into
  sleeping with them, which begs the question as to
  whether they have even watched the content of the
  show...
• The Pickup Artist primarily teaches men many of
  the mistakes and wrong assumptions they are
  making in approaching women in the first the
  first place. The men they are demonstrating this
  to in the show and in general are men who would
  otherwise be too shy or not confident enough to
  talk to women. This is not a bad thing, what it
  actually means is that "nice guys" who wouldn't
  bother or would make mistakes that would have
  them dismissed out of hand, actually now have the
  ability to get past the "filter" most women use.
• The filter that women use to screen men has a
  very specific flaw that often is more harmful to
  women than they realize. When asked the majority
  of women say that "confidence is the most
  attractive quality in a man", not humility, not
  kindness, not intelligence, confidence.

• When screening men they are using that as the
  measuring stick along with presentation. Men who
  are generally confident talking to women also
  have more experience and success with women, but
  that doesn't translate to them being "good for
  women" so much as "good with women". If the
  filter really worked, why are so many women the
  victims of "Game and Guile". It's not because of
  The Pickup Artist, quite the opposite. It's
  because without the skills taught by The Pickup
  Artist, nice guys don't intuitively have that
  level of confidence or even if they do, they
  don't necessarily know how to avoid mistakes that
  get them rejected instantly. As a result women
  are left with whichever guys are clever and
  confident enough to pass the filter, and for most
  of those guys it is just a numbers game.
• The Pickup Artist serves as both beneficial to
  men and women, by ultimately helping them get out
  of their own way so they can enjoy the company of
  someone who can make them happy.
