What is Corn Refining??

• The word Corn Refining is defined as the
  process of separating the components of the corn
  like starch, fiber, gluten, protein and germ to
  form the refined valuable products.

• Steep water started to loosen the gluten bonds
  from starch. After, steeping it separates their
  germ
• Germ Separation is highly processed to remove
  the particular oil from the corn by combination
  of mechanical as well as solvent process. Maize
  export use germ residue which is used for animal
  feed

4. Grinding and Screening

• The corn is grinded in impact mill to separate
  the starch and gluten from the kernels fiber.
  The mixture has been flows on concave screen,
  which allows gluten and starch rest of fiber.
• The fiber is collected, slurred, and screened
  again to reclaim any residual starch or protein.
  The remaining starch gluten is flow into starch
  separators called as Mill starch.

5.Starch separation and 6.Fermentation

• The starch, with just one or two percent protein
  remaining, is diluted, washed eight to 14 times
  for separation under 2 periods by modified and
  unmodified starch .
• The conversion of starch into glucose is done by
  refiners using yeast or bacterial fermentation
  which convert into alcohol. After end of
  fermentation, remaining things from the starch
  used to produce some bio-products.
