A resident of Seattle, WA, Patrick Burns is a
Pro-Tem Judicial officer who practices at Kent
and Kirkland Municipal Courts. He is a
knowledgeable and well qualified law practitioner
who received his Bachelor's degree in History
from the University of Washington in 1975. He
then enrolled in Sound School of Law at the
University of Puget. He also studied General
Jurisdiction at National Judicial College.

• Patrick Burns Judge embarked on his professional
  journey in the year 1978. He opened his private
  practice in Auburn, WA and handled cases related
  to Criminal Defense, Family Law, and Civil
  Litigation. He worked as an independent attorney
  for almost two decades, which prepared him well
  for all his professional pursuits. His in-depth
  knowledge and persistent efforts enabled him to
  work with the best of his ability. In 1998 he was
  appointed as a Presiding judge at Auburn
  Municipal Court, which was a full time elective
  position. His honesty and ability to decide
  impartially helped him to ensure fair and
  unbiased trials. He continued this job until 2012
  and executed his functions with firmness, wisdom,
  and courage.

• Patrick Burns has been associated with a number
  of organizations and committees since 1997. Judge
  Patrick Burns Auburn is an assiduous member of
  DMCJA Legislative Committee, South King County
  Bar Association Board, DMCJA Salary and Benefits
  Committee, and Washington State Therapeutic
  Courts Committee. Apart from this, he has been a
  member of DMCJA Courts Rules Committee,
  Washington State Center for Court Research Board,
  DMCJA Therapeutic Court Committee, and DMCJA
  Spring Conference Faculty. In addition, Patrick
  Burns also undertook the Inter-jurisdictional
  Warrant Quashing Project and Substance Abuse
  Providers Standards Project.
