Forskohlii Root

• The healing power lies in its root known as
  forskolin which stimulates the adenylate cyclase
  production (an enzyme that is produced by cells).
  This in turn increases cyclic adenosine
  monophosphate cAMP. cAMP is a secondary cell
  messenger, cAMP is very essential in the
  production of enzymes and actives, it regulates
  the appropriate production of the same.

How it works ?

• Forskolin works by activating nearly all hormone
  sensitive adenylate cyclase in the intact cells,
  tissues as well as in solubilized preparations of
  the adenylate cyclase. Forskolins action is the
  catalytic subunit of the enzyme or even on a
  closely associated protein. (Seamon and Daly,
  1981)

• There are 9 types of adenylate cyclase in human
  beings and forskolin activates all except IX
  which is found in spermatozoa. Forskolin relaxes
  various smooth muscles only by the means of
  stimulating adenylate cyclase.
• This study of forskolin helped in better
  understanding of cAMP and hence allowed it to be
  used as a potential healer for various diseases
  like asthma, thrombosis, glaucoma, hypertension,
  cardiac disorders, and other metastatic
  disorders.
