completed. Rideability staying the same as at
completion. No other problems with
pavement. I-65 Warren County Asphalt Pavement
bid with 10 year warranty. Just now completing
project.

Consultant/Contract Inspection

• Industrial Access Road near Ashland is only
  project currently with consultant inspection.
  100 Million corridor. To date 6.5 inspection
  cost.
• Structural Steel inspections have been let to
  contract for many years.
• KYTC paid out 772 million in KYTC inspected
  construction contracts, spent 44 million for
  KYTC inspectors for yearly average of 5.7
  Engineering charges.

• Entire contract Qc/Qa for projects let after
  January, 2004 under discussion.
• Currently have following Qc/Qa processes

• Bridge Painting

VMA, Air Voids, Density and Asphalt Content Pay
Adjustment factors being reviewed. Currently
40 for Density, 10 for AC, 25 VMA, 25 for AV.

Concrete
Drilled Shafts in deep water over Lake Cumberland
used Crosshole -Sonic Logging (CSL) for
nondestructive integrity testing. 150 foot casing
above bottom of lake to top of casing. Verticallit
y checked with Sonar Caliphering.

Trnsport
PES/LAS 5.5a1 Proposal/Estimate Letting/Award to
be operational by July, 2003. Sitemanager to
start implementation next month with software to
be in use by January 1, 2005. It will replace
existing 10 year old DOS base KYCEMPII/CPES
Construction Management software.
