• Oceanographic data centre of the Institute of
  Oceanology - IO-ODC was established in June 27,
  2002 (CESUM-BS Project initiative)
• Existing as a department of the Institute of
  Oceanology Bulgarian Academy of Science

OBJECTIVES

• To collate oceanographic data, archive and store
  it and maximize its utilisation
• To enhance the availability of high quality
  oceanographic data for a wide group of users
• To promote data exchange on national and
  international level

• MANAGER organizes and masters the activity of
  the centre
• OCEANOGRAPHER feeds and maintains data base,
  accepts data, performs quality control, maintains
  catalogues and inventories, responsible for data
  exchange.
• SOFTWARE ENGENEER - develops and maintains
  oceanographic data base, LAN, servers and
  software
• HARDWARE ENGENEER - develops and maintains
  hardware servers and LAN
• WORKING GPOUPS scientists and specialists from
  IO-BAS depending on needs
