• By revealing the characters innermost thoughts
• By showing the characters actions
• By sharing how other characters act toward the
  character

  like kind, secretive, etc.

Respond to the following

• List at least 4 character traits or qualities
  that Theseus possesses. Give an example of each
  and then explain whether direct or indirect
  characterization was used to describe each trait.
• Many mythic heroes, especially those in Greek
  mythology, develop excessive pride or hubris. At
  which point does Theseus show the first signs of
  having hubris? What are the results of his
  excessive pride?
• What is the theme or lesson of Theseus? Why is
  this so?
