Why conduct the Scan?
  • Cessation of any meaningful development of
    Horizon 7
  • The abandonment of the obvious upgrade path for
    Horizon
  • Move from Sybase database platform to ORACLE
    database platform
  • Delivery of Quality services in Web 2 environment
  • Improved Discovery Interface to library resources
  • Identify systems-related infrastructure to
    improve client service
  • Better interoperability between the ILS and UTAS

    current documented sources
  • Library staff perceptions of the Library and
    library services in 5 years time

    resource discovery interface
