  • - Griffith Universitys Industrial Affiliates
    Program (IAP)
  • - The University of Western Sydneys

  • - Griffith Universitys Master of Drama
    Education
  • What needs to be considered for each of these
    options to be viable?

9
  • What can Australian universities do?
  • - Independently (eg IAP, 22 programs)
  • - In partnership with MNCs (eg scholarships,
    exchange programs)
  • This is a strategic move that would see
Australian institutions increase their share of
    the lucrative international student market

10
  • WIL for international students
  • - What makes it attractive to students?
  • - Why will they pay money to us in order to
    work for someone else?
  • - What about the students who cant afford it?

  • - Support mechanisms
  • - Strategic opportunities
  • Feedback from past international student
    participants demonstrates that Australian WIL
programs really are achieving what they set out
    to do

  • My IAP experience allowed me to develop my
    self-management, conceptual and analytical
skills, and my personal and professional
effectiveness. And it gave me work experience,
which is important when searching for a job
