2About Defence Technology Centres (DTCs)
- DTCs are- a UK MOD initiative- virtual centres
of excellence- collaborative RD programmes-
managed by industrial consortia- funded jointly
by MoD and industry- open, collaborative ventures
- DTCs cover broad technology areas of significant
importance to future UK defence capabilities and
aim to provide more rapid pull-through of low
maturity, innovative research into the MoDs
equipment programme.DTCs Industry and UK MOD
working in partnership with the science base to
develop innovative defence technology
3About EMRS DTC

following outcomes in the field of
Electro-Magnetic Remote Sensing
- day and night, all-weather capability
- long range operation
- rapid, large search area capability
- detection of low signature targets
- detection of camouflaged or concealed targets
- affordable, robust systems for military platforms
- covert operation
- multi-function / ID capability

4About SEAS DTC
The SEAS DTC aims to develop novel technologies
into system solutions that can be exploited in a
new generation of unmanned systems in the land,
sea and air domains The science will have
particular applications in military areas where
using autonomous systems would reduce the costs
or hazards associated with human involvement
