The Spider That Searches The Web

• Once there was a spider named Googlebot. He was a
  special spider. Googlebot was a spider that has a
  job. His job is to visit web sites and, read the
  text then follows the links on that web site. He
  is also called the Crawler. Googlebot comes back
  to the website every month or two to look for
  changes in the web site. After Googlebot goes
  onto someones web site they are considered
  crawled or spidered

• Googlebot works for a web site called
  Google.com. Google sends Googlebot to do his job.
  Google is a search engine. You type something
  into the search box then Google will look for web
  sites or pictures with the word that you have
  typed in the search box in its name or
  description. Google.com also has news, groups,
  local maps and more! A really great part of
  Google is that in the search box, if you cannot
  spell something right, Google will find the
  closest word to it and gives you the option to
  search for that or what you have typed in.

• One day, Googlebot was going to do his job. He
  went to go look at more web sites! He had been
  to a website called LISG.org Once Googlebot was
  done doing his job, he was interested in the web
  site so he read it once again, but this time, for
  his own enjoyment.

• Hmmm I wonder what this web site is for
  Googlebot had said to himself. It looks very
  interestingit might be a restaurant or
  something

• Googlebot went back to his office after LISG.org,
  it was his last website to check for that day.
  Googlebot had then gone home, to go to sleep that
  night. Right before he had gone to sleep he had
  thought about the web site. What could LISG be?
  Where? And why was it there? He had thought about
  all of these questions until, finally, he had
  gone to sleep.

• It was the next day. It had then been about
  twelve o clock PM. The weather was cloudy and
  the sun was not out to wake Googlebot up.
  Googlebot got up and looked at the time. He was
  very alarmed. He then got up very quickly and
  went to work to see his boss very upset.
•  
• Where have you been for so long Googlebot?!
  You are very late for work! said Googlebots
  boss, or The Creator of Google.com.
•  
• Sorry boss. I accidentally slept in
  lateYAWN

• Fine, Ill let you get away with it this time,
  but thats only because its your first time you
  have been late in your whole career. Just dont
  let it happen again. Said Googlebots Boss,
  Now, go and get back to your work!

• Yes, Sir, Googlebot had said, Bye ,Sir

• So then Googlebot had gone back to work. He went
  to many, many web sites and then it was time for
  his 3-hour lunch break. He did not get to visit
  many things since its lunch break was at one o
  clock, and he only had one hour to work, but
  search engines can be very, very fast in finding
  web sites. Search Engines like Google are very
  amazing. They can find hundreds, and hundreds,
  maybe even thousands of web sites in merely a
  couple of seconds!

• Googlebot had finished his lunch. He had eaten
  his favorite, a ham and cheese sandwich with a
  chocolate computer chip cookie for dessert. After
  he finished it, Googlebot still had time, about
  forty-five minutes. Googlebot had decided to
  go visit LISG.org again to see if he can find
  anything more about it.

• Googlebot had gotten to the web site. And this
  time he went to look at all of the pictures to
  see if he could find any more about it, and then
  he did! He had found out what a school is! This
  was a school for gifted children, children who
  are extra smart! It took only about 1 minute for
  Googlebot to figure this out. He was very smart
  and a fast reader. He was very smart or, gifted
  like the people at LISG.

• Googlebot took a break. He went home and watched
  the news while cooking dinner. The news was on
  and there was something about Google and
  something that had happened in work.

• Today, at the Google headquarters, the creator
  has made a big decision. He has decided to fire
  all humans and robots and replace them with
  pigeons! The pigeons will soon be searching for
  the websites and searching for more information
  than what is on Google right now. We have heard
  that when the pigeons take over, they will be
  putting more good information about pigeons on
  Google. The newscaster had said.

• Oh No!!! Im going to lose my job, Googlebot
  said while he was worrying, My job is the only
  thing I have to get money! How am I going to pay
  for dinners, lunches, breakfasts?

• April Fools! Happy April Fools Day! The
  newscaster said while hysterically laughing
•  
• PHEW Googlebot was very relieved.

• Then all of a sudden, the TV broke! Then
  Googlebot felt water dripping on his head! He
  knew what it was time for time to get a new
  house. His house could not be too far because he
  still wanted to keep his job. Then suddenly he
  noticed that his computer was still on and it
  still was on the LISG.org page. Googlebot looked
  at the address of the school.

• It was the next day and it was Googlebots
  birthday! Googlebot then realized that there was
  a crack in the wall in one picture. Googlebot had
  an idea! He could move into LISG! He could meet
  the students and he was hoping that he would soon
  make friends with the people there! And best of
  all, they dont charge spiders! Since his house
  was broken down, he had decided to move right
  away! Googlebot started walking, and then
  suddenly, he saw a cute little happy bird
  singing. Today was a good day for Googlebot. He
  could tell.

• Googlebot had moved to LISG and had a very nice
  home with very nice things. He had then told me
  about everything that had happened with him. I
  had then written a story about it in computer
  class. Then it got published into a book!
  Googlebot then lived a very happy life in LISG!
