Tribute to Heroes

• When the planes hit the WTC, I sat in horror and
  disbelief. When the plane hit the Pentagon, I was
  sure it was some sick joke. Not the center of our
  defense. It could NOT happen. I lived a life of
  trust. Trust in our military, trust in our
  defense. It crumbled that day. Fear set in. Not
  for lack of belief in them, but for what had been
  done to us. I could not understand the scope, I
  couldnt understand anything beyond the fear that
  encompassed my whole being. God help us, help my
  children. Protect us. Keep us safe and free. What
  follows is the growth of my scope. The pride of
  our country. The protection of all Americans and
  the freedom protected for me, my children and
  each person that takes the time to view this.
  Thank you God for answered prayers and for
  blessing our country with these fine men and
  women. They are all my heroes.

Tribute to Heroes

• This presentation is dedicated to the men and
  women of our Armed Forces. It is dedicated to
  those we lost on 9/11. It was inspired by the
  Navy Counselors Association in conjunction with
  all the heroes pictured.

Thank You

• This country has survived and flourished because
  many have come together behind rally cries like
  "Remember the Alamo" and "Remember Pearl Harbor."
  Both of which brought a nation together to defeat
  a common enemy. The cry, "Remember 9/11" cannot
  fall on deaf ears. It is the most significant of
  the three.

• In those previous wars, the rallying cries
  brought people together to fight a known enemy
  with identifiable borders. "Remember 9/11" is
  different. Our enemy has no borders, marches
  behind no flag, respects no conventions of war.
  Our enemy is ruthless and barbaric and strikes at
  the very heart of our greatness, "Freedom and
  Democracy."

• The lessons of Vietnam have taught us that we can
  lose a war not because of a lack of strength
  within our fighting forces, but because of a lack
  of strength and conviction among our people. It
  is people like you who keep the cry, "Remember
  9/11", alive who will make it possible for us to
  sustain and win the war on terror. If the people
  of this great nation lose their faith and
  conviction in our ability to win, we will lose.

• Many of us wear the cloth of our nation in the
  form of a military uniform. Others wear that
  cloth in the conduct of their lives by supporting
  and defending the ideals that have made this
  country great. The scope of your support is
  immeasurable. You are truly a hero for this
  nation.

• I am proud to know you and I salute you.
