Metaphor

• The pencil is a beautiful butterfly yet is an
  ugly scribbled paper
• The pencil is a tired and mean jail guard it is
  a loud hammer, but a quiet T.V. on mute
• Also is a soft sheep, and a hard jolly rancher
• Last but not least the pencil is a cold block
  of ice

Self Portrait

• My hair is a slippery puddle
• My eyes are the color of
• the ocean
• My arms as long as a the arms of a tree
• My hands are big like the trunk of a tree
• I may not look like it but I am fast as a jaguar
• And I am thin as paper

Limerick
Home Sweet Home

• There once was a fan from a can
• All the time he hoped for a plan
• So he thought and thought
• And fought in the hot.
• That ugly old man in a can

Free Verse Monday in the stadium

• Starts off in the lockers
• Getting ready for the game
• A great sport, football. Green fields, hard
  hits, interceptions, tackles, and touchdowns
• Excitement in the bleachers a loud barking dog
• As much skill as blood in a body
• Speed, acceleration, throw, catch, run
• Quarterbacks horrified when they see 300 pound
  defensive linemen racing after them
• Two sides of the ball offense and defense
• Monday is football game day except for the
  Monday Night Football, but sometimes Thursdays
  too
• Undefeated in the league, are some teams
• The smell of mud at a rainy game
• There are great players as good as a MVP or a
  Heismen trophy should be

Personification

• Some people see a desk
• You think it is just something that a computer
  sits on
• But when I look at it I see a person
• This is how I see it, I see the computer as
  the head or the face, only sometimes it has arms
  they are the drawers, and the body and the legs
  are the desk holding up the computer up

Color Poem Red

• Red is burning, bright and mouthwatering
• Red is the taste of apples
• Red smells like fruit and fire
• Red makes me feel happy
• Red is the sound of crackling fire and screaming
• Red is scary, tasty, and everywhere
• Red is travel
• Red is bright
• Red hides nowhere

Alliteration

• Some sleeping animals sneak around at night
• Some snore so loud
• Some Snakes slither around the slippery ground
• Snoring slobbering bears snatch fish from the
  slimy water

If I were In charge of the World

• If I were in charge of the world, Id cancel bad
  drugs and also global warming
• If I were in charge of the world, there would be
  more money and also be more land
• If I were in charge of the world, you wouldnt
  have death or seat assignments and you certainly
  wouldnt have homework
• If I were in charge of the world, candy would be
  a fruit, and a person who once forgot a rule and
  was once called a fool, would still be allowed to
  be in charge of the world
