• Three types of degrees
• Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)
• Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.)

Degree Requirements

• Minimum of 120 - 132 units
• Graduation in 4 years minimum of 15.5 units per
  semester
• General Education (GE) 51 units
• 42 lower division (100-299)
• 9 upper division (300-499)
• (Upper division classes should be taken the
  semester you complete 60 or more units)

How do I reach the required number of units?

• General Education 51 units of coursework which
  gives students broad perspective and knowledge
• Major Through a concentration of studies in a
  particular major, students focus in depth upon a
  specified field of study (i.e., Psychology, Art,
  Math). 120 132 units
• Electives or Minor In addition to required GE
  and Major courses, students must choose
  coursework to complete the minimum number of
  units required for graduation. (This could
  include your minor)

Where do my units come from?

How do remediation courses relate to my
graduation requirements?

• If you are placed below GE English (A2) or GE
  Math (B4), you must complete the appropriate
  remediation course(s) during your first year at
  SSU
• Remediation courses such as Math 035 or 045, and
  English 099, do not count towards graduation or
  your GPA, but do count towards being a full time
  student

• Click Add a Class
• Begin to add classes by inserting 4-digit class
  number (if you have already searched), or
• Click on the Search button to begin search

• The class in your Shopping Cart is NOT added
  until you have successfully added the class and
  deleted unavailable selections
• Check the class status and ensure its open
  (green circle)

  finalize your selection

• After successfully adding a class, you may add
  another class by clicking Add Another Class

Important Notes

• DO NOT add all desired classes into your shopping
  cart all at once!
• Add one class at a time and ensure you have
  clicked Finish Enrolling for that class prior
  to adding additional classes! A green check
  should display under status if you have
  successfully added the class.
• Use Swap function when possible to exchange
  classes instead of dropping one class and trying
  to add another class!

Step 3 Reviewing Your ResultsErrors

• If you are unable to add the class, the reason
  will be displayed as an error message
• Fix errors
• Review final schedule
• Print final schedule

Now what?

• Check your Student Services Home page for your
  personalized REG 2 enrollment appointment as well
  as the dates for open registration.
• Check Registration Information to obtain
  information regarding important dates and
  deadlines for registration including late REG,
  add/drop, changes to grading options (CR/NC),
  withdraw etc.
• SUMMARY Enrollment appointment is needed for REG
  2, but no enrollment appointment needed for open
  REG. Schedule changes can also be made up until
  the add drop deadline date.
