12Internship Article
Venice High School is all about preparing their
students for their future career. This school
year a lucky 46 students were able to experience
interning at their dream job. The program gives
you professional experiences in your career that
you want to pursue after high school and college.
This program is called, Executive Internship.
Mrs. Ruthardt, the internship advisor, made this
entire program happen by getting the school to
grant these select students a pass to leave
campus after 1210 to go intern. To be a part of
the internship program you must meet the GPA
requirement, be able to provide your own
transportation, and be a senior. It is still
consider a class and you receive one credit for
it. The program results in experience,
knowledge, and reference. The Executive
Internship program benefits these seniors in high
school and is a great opportunity.
13What I learned during the 2nd semester -How to
approach potential interviewees -How to come up
with interviewing questions -How to draw better
answers rather then general responses -What to
say and not to say during an interview -Always
write exactly what the person says
14Summer Opportunity
During the summer I have become lucky enough to
get the opportunity to shadow Heidi Godman at ABC
channel 7 news. I will then be able to learn the
basic steps of becoming a well-known news anchor
later in my career.
