What is NSES NCTM?

• National Science Education Standards
• National Council of Teachers of Mathematics.

Purpose of these organizations

• NSES- provides a set of standards/criteria which
  state, local and national systems use to assess
  if school actions promote ascientifically
  literate society.
• NCTM- provides broad national leadership related
  to mathematics education. Provides standards for
  planning, implementing and evaluating K-12
  mathematics.
