organization.
6Executive Education Training Program
7Executive Education Training Program Class I
What do you hope to gain, and how do you expect
to utilize your Executive Education experience?
- There are a number of things that I am hoping to
accomplish through the Executive Education
Training. I am expecting to become more
proficient at public presentations/speaking, as
my knowledge of non-profits in general and Child
Start, Inc. in particular, increases. I am
prepared to supplement my understanding of Labor
Relations and Human Resource Management as well
as expanding my proficiency with regards to
Resource Development. I am also very excited
about being introduced to such agenda items as
Fiscal and Economic Principals, Fundamentals of
Board Leadership, Strategic Planning and
Organizational Analysis and Design. - As well as improving my comprehension of the
above mentioned subjects, I am hoping to develop
a closer and better working relationship with my
peers, my direct reports and with my supervisors. -
- - Debbie McGrath
- I am excited about participating in the
Executive Management Training program. Once the
program ends, I hope to have a more thorough
understanding of non-profit management especially
in the areas of operations, human resources,
fiscal planning and organization design. As I
continue to develop the skills needed to be a
successful leader, my greatest expectation is to
be given the opportunity to utilize those skills
as a manager here at Child Start. -
- - Juan Cisneros
8What do you hope to gain, and how do you expect
to utilize your Executive Education experience?
- Based on the training content, I hope to gain a
deeper understanding of the agency as well as the
insight to become a stronger leader. I expect to
utilize the training in growing stronger in my
current position and to aspire to promote at some
time in the future. -
- - Erin Busby
- I hope to gain some new skills and experiences
that will help me to become a better manager and
leader. I will utilize these skills in any
position that I hold at Child Start. -
- - Karen Sanchez
- I am hoping that the Executive Education
Training experience will enhance what I know
about our agency, non profit agencies and my
overall management skills. Each of the planned
topics have components in which I want to learn
more about to help me become a better and more
effective manager. I am excited to use the
experience and information learned to support
what I do every day for the agency. I hope to
have a better understanding of such topics as
marketing, human resources, labor relations and
fiscal practices to broaden my skills and
experiences. I also hope to learn more about
each of the members in the program and how we can
utilize the strengths each of us brings to the
agency. - - Susan Smith
- I wish to acquire a comprehensive understanding
of CSI focusing on federal regulations, fiscal
management, board leadership, marketing and
community involvement. In addition to these
skill sets, I hope to form close professional
relationships with the other training
participants. During the past year it has been
my distinct pleasure to work with several
individuals who bring a wide variety of cultural,
educational and professional experiences to CSI
which has also strengthen my role as a Regional
Program Manager. Equipped with an accomplished
team of potential leaders, it is my hope to take
what I will learn in this course and help build
agency continuity and proficiency with regard to
staff development, quality service provision and
long term program sustainability. - - Michael Diehl
9What do you hope to gain, and how do you expect
to utilize your Executive Education experience?
- Attending the Executive Education training's
would allow me to gain a wealth of opportunities.
Such opportunities will enable me to learn new
insights needed to continue to be an effective
manager and also provide resources needed for
Executive Leadership. The training's will enable
me to imagine new possibilities and create new
solutions for the continued success of Child
Start Inc. - Vision is the distant light that gives direction
to any effort. I would utilize our vision to
successfully develop leadership skills for staff.
When the vision is clear and bright, it attracts
attention and stimulates curiosity and interest.
My goal is to empower self directed teams. It is
important to create teams of practice problem
solvers, and unlock the creative potential of
each team member. - - Debra Barnes
- I hope to gain knowledge and skills to meet my
leadership goals To gain a better knowledge of
the inner workings of our organization which
would lead me to a better understanding of the
workings of CSI. This would give me a clearer
picture to be a more productive leader through
coaching, being a team leader and a change
agent. Thirdly, I will further develop my
communication and public relations skills. -
- My career goals involve becoming a part of the
management team where I will utilize the
Executive Education Training experience. Until
then I will use the experience as a coach, team
leader and change agent. This will allow me to
share with others what I am experiencing so they
will have more knowledge to work with and to
develop their skills and knowledge. - - Laura Schneider
