  • Use one method to emphasize text
  • Easy to read fonts
  • Font size - as large as possible
  • Be consistent
  • No sentences use phrases (unless the
    presentation has no presenter)

ALL CAPS
Dont do this!
Do this!
If you have a lot of text in all caps, it is
difficult to read. Use caps to draw attention to
CERTAIN WORDS. Dont ever type in all caps for
anything!
  • IF YOU HAVE A LOT OF TEXT IN ALL CAPS, IT IS
    DIFFICULT TO READ. USE CAPS TO DRAW ATTENTION TO
    CERTAIN WORDS. DONT EVER TYPE IN ALL CAPS FOR
    ANYTHING!

Emphasize
TIP If the text has the same meaning with or
without emphasis, dont add any emphasis at
all.
  • Choose one method to emphasize text
  • Within Quotes
  • Italicized
  • Bold
  • All Caps
  • Emphasis gets lost when too many methods are
    used.

  • Use light backgrounds and dark text for longer
    presentations

  • White text against a dark background can cause
    eyesore for a long presentation.
  • Use only for short presentations or for one
    emphasis slide.
