2- Checking the technical condition of a vehicle by
the driver before each trip, gives more
confidence and comfort of driving. - In addition, it means the lower risk of any
accidents.
3Daily pretrip checking
- Before any trip a driver should check
- condition of a vehicle,
- condition of the engine,
- condition of the power transmission system,
- condition of the steering and braking system,
- condition of the suspension system,
- condition of electrical installation,
- set of documents.
4Condition of a vehicle
Firstly, during the pretrip check a driver should
check the following things completion and
correctness of the fixed units.
5Condition of the engine
- Checking for leaks,
- Checking the level of oil,
- Checking the level of fluid in the cooling
system, - Checking the condition of the feeding system.
6Checking the level of oil
- It is done with
- the bar steel indicator
- (a bayonet)
- the level should be
- between the MINIMUM and MAXIMUM value.
7Checking condition of the feeding system
- Checking for leaks from the petrol tank and the
petrol unit. - Refill the amount of petrol in the petrol tank
(it should be full).
8Service of the power transmission system
- In the transmission power system these things
should be checked - operation of the clutch,
- operation of the gearbox,
- leaking of a gearbox and a driving axle,
9Checkig how the clutch works
Driver checks working of the clutch before and
after the engine is started.
10Service of a steering system
- Condition of the steering system is checked by
turning the steering wheel. - Level of fluid in the supporting system must be
checked.

- Check for leaks of the system.
- Check level of fluid in the container of the
system. - Check the installation of a trailer or a
semi-trailer. - Check any indicators of control
- signalling and the pressure
- indicator.

- Driver has to check
- condition of the tyres,
- pressure in the wheels,
- tightening of all the screws connection of the
wheels, - general condition of the suspension elements,
- correctness of coupling a trailer or a
semi-trailer, - condition of the loading box and cargo.
