The Challenge Storyboarding
  • SME and ID use Storyboards to reachan agreement
on what form the end-product will take.
  • Specify the broad details of the content
  • How it will be passed on to learners.
  • What learning outcomes can be expected.

5
Why Storyboarding is Vital?
  • Cost overrun
  • Missed deadlines
  • Easy to missteps during SB phase
  • SME and ID disengages
  • this is not what we agreed on !
  • its not my fault !
  • SB is the reflection of the end-product on paper.

6
Storyboarding the Process
  • Make all design issues known this is the
perfect time, because cost of experimentation is
    at its lowest.
  • Iron out all these issues
  • Vision
  • Learning theory
  • Media selection
  • Content organization
  • User interface
  • Narration
  • Interactivity
  • Good social process produce good collaborative
    results.
