Heaven For Christians the important aspect is
that Jesus has overcome death and has risen from
the dead to sit beside his father in heaven. The
Bible talks of heaven in terms of mystery giving
us ideas but never a very clear picture of what
it will be like. It is a place of light, beauty
and joythere will be no more death or mourning
or crying or pain, for the old order of things
has passed away. Revelations. Believing in
Jesus is fundamental to Christians, during a
funeral service the following passages are
readI am the resurrection and the life, says
the Lord he who believes in me, though he were
dead, yet shall he live and whoever lives and
believes in me shall never die. The idea is that
you will be with God after you die as Jesus said,
There are many rooms in my fathers house, and I
am going to prepare a place for you.

coming judgement and the fierce fire which will
destroy those who oppose God. Hebrews. The dead
were judged according to what they had done as
recorded in the books..If anyones name was not
written in the book of life he was thrown into
the lake of fire.Revelation In the Middle Ages
people thought of Hell as nine circles at the
centre of the earth -
where people were punished.
Modern Christian views about Hell are that you
are separated from Gods love and that is the
punishment you face.
