Title: WEB BASED ASSESSMENT
1WEB BASED ASSESSMENT
- A GUIDE TO USING WEB BASED ASSESSMENT (WEBASE) AT
ECU - PART 1 Entering New Assessment Records
2OneStop
- The first step in using WEBASE is to log on to
OneStop and click on tools. - You should see a web page similar to the that in
the next slide. - Locate the assessment reports link. It may be
under Job Related Tools but will always be in the
Employee Box.
3OneStop
4The Assessment Reports Screen will be displayed
next
5Use the drop down box to select either service
unit or academic unit
6Academic Unit Screen
7Service Unit Screen
8The service unit and academic unit screens are
almost identical. One problem with the academic
unit screen is that some of drop down boxes may
be truncated. Selecting a different division or
college and then selecting your division/college
will fix the problem.
9Note the difference between the drop down boxes
in this and the previous slide.
10You must complete all of the fields on the first
page of the assessment form before clicking on
continue. Once you click on continue you will
be taken to a page which allows you to enter
objectives. Please note that you cannot simply
change the dates to enter a new plan. You must
do a new plan each year.
11A blank objective entry screen will look like the
one below. You simply enter an objective title, a
description of the objective (criteria for
success), and describe how the objective will be
measured.
12A new plan will have a title, objective, and one
(or two)methods of assessment. The criteria can
be included in either the objective or the
assessment box. Note that objectiveachieved
should be set to NO and objective continued
should be YES
13Click on save objective to continue!
14Clicking on save objective will take you a new
entry screen and you will also be able to see the
objectives already entered at the top of the
screen. Now enter your next objective.
15Below is the second objective for the Office of
Institutional Effectiveness.
16After you save an objective, it will be listed at
the top of the screen and you will be able to
enter your next objective. DO NOT submit the
assessment plan until you have entered all of
your objectives.
17Each time you click on save objective, you will
be taken to a new entry screen and will see a
list of previously entered objectives at the top
of the screen. Again, do not click on submit
assessment record until you have finished
entering all of the objectives for your unit.
18For 2004-2005, the Office of Institutional
Effectiveness has four objectives. After all of
the objectives are entered, the assessment plan
needs to be submitted.
19Submitting the assessment plan just requires
clicking the submit assessment report button.
20After submitting the plan, you will see a screen
showing all of the assessment plans that you have
submitted. Note that these are under the past
assessment box and the plans cannot be modified
until released (unlocked) by Institutional
Effectiveness.
