What is the 4WD Aust Club Insurance Scheme

• General insurance program designed to meet the
  specific needs of 4WD clubs
• Comprises three main contracts
• General/Associations Officials Liability
• Voluntary Workers
• General Property (club equipment)
• Uses only Australian licenced insurers
• Managed by TCIS Insurance Brokers

Who is TCIS

• Australian Financial Services Licenced General
  Insurance Broker
• Member of
• National Insurance Brokers Association
• Insurance Brokers Disputes facility
• Offices in 4 states
• Premiums in excess 12,000,000
• Legally able represent our members

General Liability

• Limit of liability 20,000,000
• Covers liability for non motor incidents
• Physical injury property damage
• Extends to protect land owners
• Non paid driver training included
• Negligence must be proven
• Goods sold included ie sausage sizzles
• Public events require pre-approval
• Timed events require pre-approval

Associations Officials

• Losses arising from actions of club officials
• Other than physical injury or damage
• Protects officials if action taken against them
• Covers anyone acting in official capacity
• Trip leaders, event organisers are included
• Example one - sexual harassment
• Example two - wrongful removal from club
• Example three - failure to insure a lottery prize
  resulting in action from winner

Voluntary Workers

• Designed to cover those working on interclub or
  community working bees
• No need to prove negligence
• Replaces lost income
• Pays gap in medical expenses
• Income benefit only applies to those who lose
  income ie gainfully employed
• Age limit is 65- cant change
• Requires declaration prior to event
• Free to clubs - paid by ANFWDC

General Property

• Designed to cover club owned property
• Liability policies do not provide any cover
• Members domestic policies may not cover club
  property
• If needed, send list to TCIS
• Cost is approx 5 of value

• What would he or she do?
• Its simple - act as a liaison between TCIS, your
  State Insurance Officer and your local club
  members
• No insurance knowledge is necessary
• We just want you to spread the word
• TCIS supplies all technical support
• Please try to find a volunteer, its not hard
