Summer Blues - Shoes

• Only service shoes issued by the Detachment are
  authorize for wear with the Summer Blues uniform
• Service shoes must be kept in good working
  condition and must be shined

Summer Blues - Pants

• Pants must touch shoe with a slight break at the
  laces, but can not touch the sole/drag on the
  floor when properly worn

Summer Blues - Shirt

• White V neck shirts are require for male cadets
• Ties/Tab are optional for all cadets when uniform
  of the day is declared summer blues
• Ribbons and badges are optional

Ranks grounded to edge of sleeve
Name tag will be centered on the right pocket and
flush with the edge of pocket

Name tag will be centered on the right hand side
even with or up to 1 ½ inches higher or lower
than the first expose button

BDU Boots and Trousers

• Only boots issued by the Detachment are authorize
  for wear with the BDU uniform
• BDU boots must be kept in good working condition
  and must be shined
• Trousers will be evenly bloused over the combat
  boots
• Black tip of belt may extend up to 2 beyond the
  buckle

BDU Blouse

• Center US AIR FORCE tape immediately above left
  breast pocket
• Center name tape immediately above right breast
  pocket
• C/3C and C/4C insignia centered on
• the left and right collar
• Long edge of insignia is parallel to and 1
• from front edge of collar

BDU T-Shirt and Sleeves and Headgear

• C/3C will wear brown t-shirts under their BDU
  blouses
• Sleeves will ALWAYS be worn down and buttoned to
  fit around the wrists
• BDU cap with BDU uniform

PT Uniform - Shoes

• White below the calf socks are required
• Shoes must be in conservative color / taste
• Shoe laces will be tucked in at all times.
  Runners lacing is preferred

PT Uniform - Shorts

• Shorts must be kept clean and free of stains
  before wearing
• Draw strings must be kept tucked in
• Shorts will be worn in a professional manner
• (e.g. no hip huggers)

PT Uniform - Shirt

• Must be kept clean and free of stains before
  wearing
• Shirt must be kept tucked under waist band of
  shorts at all time
• Proper size will be worn
• (e.g. no muscle style shirt or baggy)

PT Uniform - Sweats

• Must be kept clean and free stains before wearing
• You may wear the sweats in any approved
  combination
• You will wear the shorts/t-shirt underneath at
  all times

Personal Grooming Standards

• HAIR
• Males
• Cleanly shaven head or present a tapered
  appearance on both sides and back
• Will not exceed 1 ¼ inch in length or ¼ inch at
  the natural termination point
• Only closely cut or shaved hair on the back of
  neck will touch collar
• SIDEBURNS and MUSTACHE
• Sideburns neatly trimmed and tapered same as
  haircut. Cannot extend below lowest part of
  exterior ear opening. Must be squared off in
  appearance.
• Mustache permitted but cannot extend beyond lip
  line of upper lip or sideways beyond corners of
  the mouth.

Personal Grooming Standards Continued

• HAIR
• Females
• May not shave their head
• Hair bulk may not be less than 1 inch or more
  than 3 inches and must not touch the collar
• If dyed, must be of a natural color
• No stragglers or wispies
• Hair may be visible in front of flight cap, but
  will not touch eyebrows
• NO hair ribbons or ornaments
• Pins, combs, barrettes, and rubber bands must
  match hair color
• Hair style must not prevent proper wear of
  headgear
• MAKEUP
• Conservative and in good taste. Nail polish is
  of one color and must not detract from the uniform
