• After being told they were expecting a boy

• My parents were quite surprised when I (a girl)
  arrived on July 28, 1978.

• Everyone soon got over their initial surprise,
  and I was a welcome addition to the family.

However, I dont think my older brother liked me
much. He once asked Santa for a cage -- not for
a pet, but to put me in!!

• I was born in Vancouver, but my family moved
  to Victoria when I was one, and I lived there
  until a month ago.

Education

• After graduating from high school in 1996, I
  went straight to University.
• I went to UVic. But,not knowing what I
  really wanted to do, I just took courses that
  looked interesting.

While at School I

• Worked
• Part-time as the gym supervisor for a community
  basketball league

Played Basketball in a recreational
womens league
Danced I started taking Irish Step
Dancing lessons

I Need a Break!

• After 14 straight years of school, I was getting
  very stressed out. So in 1999 I packed my bags
  and

Went to Europe!
Some of the highlights were

• Paris
• Crepes anyone?

• Prague
• Talk about a fairytale city!

• Dublin
• Its all about the music!

Back to Reality

• But all good things must come to an end
• And 8 weeks, 1,000,000 memories and 12 roles of
  film later, it was back to work and school.

I graduated from UVic in 2000

• BUT-

What can you do with a degree in Anthropology?
NOT MUCH!
SO

I Got A Job (or two or three) That Didnt Use My
Degree!
After graduating, I had many different jobs,
including

• Gym Supervisor
• Nanny
• Jam Maker
• Chamber Maid
• Tour Guide
• Professional Relocation Assistant

Then An Idea

• Why not go to library school?
