A Task of Discipline Endurance

• In 10th grade, my parents promised me roller
  blades for passing all five of my Regents exams.
  Today, I use those same roller blades to push
  myself as far as I can on a very long, peaceful
  path. The path is shaded by canopies in the
  Spring and Summer. I listen to music because it
  pushes me even further and helps me clear my
  thoughts. Important words from my 12th grade
  track coach stay with me on my journeys.

Other Tasks of Discipline Endurance

• When I was younger, my dad exercised regularly
  and played paddle ball. When I was old enough,
  he taught me how to work out and play well on the
  court. I exercise and play paddle ball as often
  as I can and when I do, time stands still for
  awhile.

Seeking Guidance Direction

• I talk to God, my family and close friends when I
  am down. They help me through difficult times
  and bring me out of darkness. They shed light on
  arduous situations and fill my spirit with hope.
  Without them in my life, I would be truly lost.
