Yr angen i weithredu/The need for action

• Mae diddordeb a phryder cynyddol ynghylch iechyd
  a lles cyffredinol y boblogaeth/There is growing
  interest and concern in the general health and
  welfare of the population.
• Er nad yw ysgolion yn gallu darparur atebion ar
  eu pennau eu hunain, maen lleoliad lle mae plant
  yn treulio rhyw un rhan o dair ou holl amser
  rhwng 4 ac 16 oed/Schools alone cannot provide
  the solutions ,it is a setting in which children
  spend around a third of all their time between
  the ages of 4 and 16.

Ysgolion Iach/Healthy Schools

• The Health Promoting School improves young
  peoples abilities to change . It provides a
  setting within which they can gain a sense of
  achievement, working together with teachers and
  others. Young peoples empowerment, linked to
  their visions and ideas, enables them to
  influence their lives and living conditions

• Maer Cynllun Ysgolion Iach Sir Gaerfyrddin wedi
  meithrin deuddeg nod y cynllun cenedlaethol/The
  Carmarthenshire Healthy Schools Scheme has
  adopted the twelve aims of the national scheme
• Nod Cynulliad Cenedlaethol Cymru yw sicrhau fod
  pob ysgol a gynhelir gan AALl yn cymryd rhan yn
  Cynlluniau Ysgolion Iach/Aim of Welsh Assembly
  Government is for all LEA schools in Wales to be
  part of the Welsh Network of Healthy Schools
  Scheme (WNHSS) BY 2010

  pob ysgol yn rhan or cynllun erbyn diwedd
  2008/Aim of Carmarthenshire Healthy Schools
  Scheme is for all schools to be part ot the
  scheme by the end of 2008

  ar llywodraethwyr/Ensure the commitment of all

  datblygu/ Identify the strengths and areas that
  need attention

  the school is assessed on whether the school has
  achieved the necessary standard.
